It's well known in sport that a motivated team produces improved performance - and the same is true in business; and every type of team in fact. If you can encourage, persuade or develop your people in such ways as to improve their effectiveness, then the role of manager is seen as successful; motivation plays a crucial role. In this module, attendees will consider what motivates themselves and those around them and how theoretical motivation theories add insight and generate sometimes provoking thought. We also examine de-motivation and work on action steps aimed at sparking a fresh interest in motivation followed by practical efforts back in the workplace as we become more effective motivational managers.
